Heaters with cooling blowers
The growing needs of extrusion and processing technology requires the use of heaters with attached cooling blowers more and more.
The influence of the normally uncontrollablefriction heat caused by the screw nearly can be completely eliminated with the use of such heaters on extruders.
If the heat transfer is still not sufficient, brass heat guiding lamellas in single or double design can additionally be mounted.
The fast heat transfer by air cooling is considered the big advantage of this type of heater compared to the oldfashioned cooling by water with its very slow controlling cycles.
Our heaters with cooling blowers are manufactured with well designed air guiding sheets and air outlets to secure the best distribution of air within the heater according to the demanded cooling performance. The air outlets are also available with outside air guiding sheets.
The air cooling jackets with the mounted blowers are separately detachable so that the heating elements can have free access which enormously decreases mounting and dismounting time.
The ratio heating surface to cooling surfacecan be constructed according to the required heating and cooling performance.
Heaters and blowers are available in single phase or three phase connection.
Performance of blowers∶ Single blower up to 26 m³ per minute
Double blower up to 45 m³ per minute
Heating elements are available with mica or ceramic insulation.
Mica insulated type:Maximum working temperature 300°C, maximum surface load 3.5 Watts/cm2.
Ceramic insulated type: Maximum working temperature 800°C,maximum surface
load7Watts/cm2.
The electrical connection is available with plugs (up to 10 A) or with cable outlet.
Production is made in accordance to the relevant DIN VDE resp. IEC-regulations.
Testing current in cold condition is 1500 Volts according to VDE 0113.
