CNC Lathe
Working Principle:
The CNC lathe operates based on the principles of computer - controlled motion and machining. First, the operator creates a detailed machining program using computer - aided design (CAD) and computer - aided manufacturing (CAM) software. This program contains specific instructions regarding the tool path, cutting parameters, and workpiece dimensions. The program is then transferred to the CNC lathe's control system. The control system interprets these instructions and drives the servo - motors or stepper - motors connected to the lathe's axes (usually the X, Y, and Z axes). These motors precisely control the movement of the tool and the workpiece, enabling the lathe to perform various machining operations such as turning, facing, threading, and grooving with high accuracy.
