Nut Brake Block
Structure: It is usually composed of two parts: nut and brake block. Nuts are generally metal, have standard threads, and fit with the screw or bolt in the brake system. Brake blocks are made of friction materials, such as rubber, asbestos, metal powder and other mixtures, and the shape varies according to the application scenario.
Principle: By tightening the nut, the brake block is pressed on the brake wheel or brake disc, and the friction between the two impedes the rotation or movement of the moving parts, so as to achieve the braking function.
We select material (such as 45#,40Cr,42 Crmo, casting) based on customer requirements and provide blacking, galvanizing, salt bath nitriding, gas nitriding and other heat treatment processes.
Care and maintenance:
Check the fastening of the nut: check whether the nut is loose regularly, and tighten it in time if it is loose to prevent the brake block from shifting and affecting the braking effect.
Check the wear degree of brake block: Brake block wear to a certain extent should be replaced in time, otherwise it will reduce the braking performance, can be judged by observing the thickness of brake block or related wear indicators.
Keep clean: clean the dust, oil and other impurities on the surface of the brake block and brake wheel (disc) to avoid affecting the friction force and ensure the normal operation of the brake system.
